Sierra suffers from numerous immune system deficiencies, is almost legally blind, and requires around-the-clock professional care.

Several weeks ago she met a Dachshund and fell in love. Her one desire was to have a Dachshund of her own.

On April 25, 1999, the Dachshund Rescue of San Diego fulfilled the wish of eight-year-old Sierra and presented her with Shadow.
